Dr. Joanna Bullivant

Joanna Bullivant is Lecturer in Music at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Birmingham City University, having previously held posts at the University of Oxford, University of Nottingham, and King’s College London. She has published widely on twentieth-century British music and is the author of Alan Bush, Modern Music and the Cold War: The Cultural Left in Britain and the Communist Bloc (Cambridge University Press, 2017). With Daniel M. Grimley, she created the Delius Catalogue of Works (https://delius.music.ox.ac.uk/catalogue/welcome.html) and worked on the award-winning Digital Delius project between Oxford and the British Library. Within the project, she is working on a new monograph on Elgar and English Catholicism.
